my samsung HD103UJ hardrive wont open
« on: July 13, 2009, 06:27:35 AM »
Hi guys & girls...My system comprises of AMD 4400X2 skt 939 processor,2GB twin x Corsair memory,2x Samsung spin point 250GB hardrives joined in a raid stripe controlled from the Nvidia n force 4 sli chipset,1X Samsung spin point 250GB & 1X Samsung HD103UJ 1000GB running as separate drives controlled from the silicon 3132 chipset. An  XFX 7600GT graphics card all on a Foxconn NF4SK8AA motherboard.  Here,s what happened . I decided to do a reinstall,I removed both harddrives controlled by the silicon chipset and formatted and reinstalled windows{media centre edition  XP pro version}everything was fine ,I installed drivers and windows updates and installed my security Norton internet security 2009,fine but this is where it went wrong..I reconnected both harddrives, both being recognised by boot screen & bios ,windows gave the 250gb a letter but not the HD103UJ.In computer management it is listed as a foriegn disc [dynamic] and will not allow me to do anything with it. I try to import it as a a foriegn disc but windows fault codes it with an unknown error. although I thought XP pro could read dynamic discs..please can anyone help?
