human interface devices dissapeared
« on: July 15, 2009, 08:48:43 PM »
I meesed up my registry (maybe or maybe not), but I have MS FSX flight simulator. I have a new USB controller called 'saitek flight instrument panel'
It started to work, but never did work right. In fact, now it works less than before, and never has communicated with FSX

to be short

In all the fixes I was trying, etc, I seemed to have lost the 'human interface devices' category from my device manager. (I use xp home)

When I plug in all 3 of my FSX controllers, they all appear in device mager under a catergory called 'unkown'

It used to say 'human interface devices'

2 of the 3 usb controllers work, but not one of them

one of the devices called HID compliant device' does not have a driver associated with it also

any ideas?

thanks
Dennis
