google it, before you ask. That might save you time than waiting. A One minute google search certainly beats a 24 hour waiting period for somebody to answer.

I was on Micosofts web site looking at the NTFS and how it works.

And the Smallest Cluster it supports is 512 Bytes.

And the Default Cluster size is 4 kB

And it makes every Cluster size as big or small as it needs it to save space.

I get this so all the Clusters are not one size  but what is the Max Cluster size that NTFS can support??????

OK I think I have it and how FAT 16 / 32 work.

This is what I am going to do and what I want to do can anyone tell me if I am on the right Track?

I have a 320 GB Hard Drive and I am just going to use it to Install win xp pro and all my other Programs.
This Hard Drive will not have anything on it but win xp pro and all my other Programs and will not be used for Stoage at all.

So when I Install win xp pro I was going to make the NTFS make every Cluster Size 512 Bytes.
All of what I have been reading says if you are going to use a Hard Drive for just Installing Programs to go for the Smallest Cluster Size for Performance.

And then I have a 500 GB Hard Drive that will be used for Storage of Audio and Video Files that are like 8. GB in Size.
And I was going to Format this with NTFS as well and I was going to make every cluster size as big as it can bee.

Is this the right way to do this

No... not really... Cluster size has very little impact on performance. Definitely not enough to even warrant thinking about changing from the defaults.

I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
