My computer hangs when playing 3d games
    « on: July 16, 2009, 07:30:14 AM »

My computer hangs when playing  any 3d games although I've already set my settings for best performance in Nvidia control panel, I've also keep my driver up to date, the working temp is 48 to 52 degree C. I've use a diagnostic software, all of my hardware ( processor, memory, hdd etc) passed except my video card, only 2d test is ok . My system configuration are: MSI P35 Neo 3 mobo, Intel Pentium 2.0 Ghz dual core, 1Gb of ram (DDR2 800), Inno3d Geforce 7300GT, 160GB hdd space, my OS is Windows XP with SP 2.

GeForce 7300GT is crap these days.

Then again, what games are you playing?  If they're fairly modern and/or you're playing them on resolutions higher than 1680x1050, you need something MUCH better than a GeForce 7300GT...

Part of the problem is most people don't generally deal with computer problems. So for most they think that close enough is good enough.

I'm only playing games which my system configuration passed. Like The Sims 2, Battle realms, counterstrike, red alert 2, warcraft. all of these games are under my system cofiguration. Last year its running smoothly now after a year the problem occurred when playing 3d games, no problem in applications. I just wonder what went wrong...
