Seems like that the answer to everything. When in doubt, reverse everything because no one knows how to do anything in the registry. But no. It takes a little more experience to fix the issue.
After finding a place with geekier people, I have since fixed the problem myself.
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell] was set to "OPEN" or "FIND" and you can't change it in the actions list. So you have to edit the registry. All I had to do was replace the Value Data with "NONE"
Problem solved.
