Can I clear the drop down box?
    « on: July 19, 2009, 06:57:31 AM »
Hello and thank you for taking notice of my thread.

I want to clear out  "Some" of the websites that are in my drop down box in the Mozilla browser page.

Some of these sites are actually not sites that I visit, either any more, or are misspelled non existant and a variety of other reasons.

The end of the day i would like them gone.   >:(

    Can it be done?
    If so how please?  ;D

Go to Tools/Options.  Click the Privacy tab.  Tick the box Clear history when Firefox closes.  click the Settings button next to that entry.  Tick the boxes you want Firefox to clear when you close the browser...

You can't remove "some" of them. If you don't visit them, they won't appear anymore after a while.

You CAN remove some of them.  Starting typing the website in the address bar until it appears in the drop down.  Highlight the one you want to get rid of, using the cursor keys, and hit the delete button on your keyboard.
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.
