So I am officially at my wit's end. My laptop (Dell inspiron 1420) a few months ago started messing up. The internet will be working fine and then all of a sudden it will give me errors for all pages or it would just say 'Connecting' and never go anywhere.

I called my internet provider on several occassions and they said my internet was fine and that my router was fine, too.

When my internet seems to be 'out', I can receive and send e-mail with no problem.

Restarting ALWAYS fixes this problem, but when it is messed up restarting takes about ten minutes to actually happen.

Internet lasts from 30 minutes to 2-3 hours. It stops working faster if I'm using youtube or have many tabs open at once.

I had several guys keep it and run tests on it (they both used to work for the Geek Squad) and they came up with nothing other than it wouldn't run the long version of the memory diagnostic test. So they told me maybe it was a memory problem.
So last week I spent over $60.00 on brand new memory for the laptop and after being online for barely an hour, it stops working. Now I'm convinced it's not a memory problem. It almost seems like Internet Explorer (I use Windows Vista, by the way) is timing out or something.

I have tried using FireFox instead of IE and the exact same thing happens.

A new thing that has appeared is when I copy and paste something into a forum (like here) then the box keeps hopping up and down and I can never see what I'm typing. it's highly irritating and has just formed along with the internet not lasting as long as it used to.

I use AVG as my anti-virus.

Does anyone know what this could be? No one can tell me what it is or how to fix it and I'm sick and tired of my internet quitting on me after such a short time. This laptop is just a little over a year old!

Someone please help me!

I would suggest that you start here.....

Download Malwarebytes' Antimalware, SUPERAntiSpyware, and HijackThis.

If you can manage to do that, post the 3 logs from each program. Here is a detailed guide: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html

Who copied my post? LOL ;D

This might be something connection related, rather than malware. But, carry on. ;D
