Outlook SMTP Configuration
« on: July 25, 2009, 02:22:01 PM »
I'm having trouble configuring my outgoing SMTP email account in outlook express. I need to configure it as a TLS encryption however outlook only has a checkbox for the SSL encryption. In the tutorial for setting up the e-mail there was a dropdown box to select TLS. Am I missing something?

Here is what I have as options:

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I see you have your email set up as an IMAP account.  Can you use POP3?  As a test, you might try creating another email account, as a POP3 account, and see whether the screens allow selection TLS.

Do you have TLS 1.0 checked in Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.........I don't know if this is a fix for you.....worth a try.
