Minature laptop virus, How do I reboot

Hi we have a minature latop, you know the small screen ones, there is no cd drive and no floppy. The laptop as got a bad virus and will not start at all, can't get safe mode nothing. I really need to format the drive and reinstall windows XP. How do i do this please?

Some specs on the netbook please..........you'll need to download the programs here ........

to a USB stick and transfer them to the computer.....you may have to rename the programs when you save them to enable them to run. Post your logs and a specialist will review them.

Also you should check with the manuf. to see if removing the HDD will void the warranty or not....

If not grab one of these...

                                   

2.5" laptop to IDE connector...about 8-10 Bucks at any PC store.
This will allow you to hook up the drive to any working Desktop and you can run all your scans from there.

ok its a Eee PC. Intel atom-160gb hard drive. not entirely sure what model but one of these:1000 series, 904 series or the 901

You're more than Welcome...
I don't think removing the drive will Void the warranty but it's best to check and make sure...

Ok thanks once again for the advice. I added a dvd drive using the device mentioned by patio. Disabled boot booster in the bios and then plugged the dvd drive into the Eee pc using usb and "hey presto" it works. I am now reinstalling XP. Thanks again and best regards.
