can i upgrade my hard disk?
    « on: July 27, 2009, 01:48:11 AM »
I have a four years old assembled PC which has
     (1) Intel Desktop Board D915GVWB
     (2) P IV processor
     (3) DD R 1GB RAM
     (4) 80 GB Hard Disk

Now i want to upgrade my Hard Disk...........

    (1) Up to what extend my board will support?
    (2) Would i Parallel fitted one  more 80GB Hard Disk?

    PLZ any technical solution?

You should be fine up to about 500GB.
Most of these boards are quite compatible with modern day stuff.
    Just chuck in a 320gb.

It says it will run 2 hard drives but you may need a cale with 3 plugs, (mobaord, HD1, HD2). Does your present parralell cable have plug in"s for 2 HD's?
You may also want to install a SATA HD instead of Parralell. SATA is faster (serial).
I also would recomend a larger HD than 80GB.
