    Blue Screen of Death
    « on: July 30, 2009, 10:24:27 AM »
Every now and then my computer keeps crashing to blue screen, with the same driver (Net8511.sys) mentioned.
Does this necessarily mean it is a networking issue? Is it a hard drive issue or perhaps a malware issue?
How can I further diagnose the problem or possibly take steps to correct it?
I ran a disk check, but, without detect and repair bad sectors (only repair file systems enabled) it didn't give me a report however when I came back to my PC... Should I run it again with repair bad sectors on? I haven't already done this because it usually takes forever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay. I think I have corrected the problem... After analyzing the memory dump, it does seem that Net8511.sys was the problematic driver, and although the manufacturers didn't include any information in the file about the driver

I was still able to find out through google that it was for my Belkin USB ethernet adapter and so, with the latest driver replacing the old net8511 I should be alright. *Crosses fingers and hopes*
