A columnist I like, Charlie Brooker, says "you can safely wait until it's lighter and cheaper". Personally I'd rather blind myself with needles than buy or use any Apple computer*, but that's just me.

Just heard a news item on this very subject this morning. The consensus seems to be developing that it really does NOT meet the primary objectives of most users. Size is a problem. External hardware options not available (no ports).There seems to be a strong sense developing that there are better devices about to become available to compete with it. So i would suggest unless it is imperative that you own the latest techno gadjet--wait a while.truenorth

It is not worth it right now. I would believe all the hype. However it does seem to be a good product I just recommend wait till the product develops a bit.

Ok, buying an ipad is not for everyone...because of the money and for what it is used for...if you just want a mac then buy a macbook or something...if you want something like the iPad, just remember it is only 16-64 gigs of space which is not even the size of a netbook hdd...however it is AMAZING for internet browsing and for watching youtube videos
