    If you have an HP Driver CD i would re-install them...this will not harm anything.
    If you do not have one visit the HP site...enter the machine info and DLoad them and install.

      Chipset Drivers FIRST...then audio and video.
      The rest you don't need.

        all the drivers need to be installed while in the OS, so i cannot make a bootable cd to install any drivers.

        im just going to get a new copy of windows and install fresh, on a formated HDD

        Not sure what you mean here...
        The Drivers can be safely DLoaded to the desktop and installed...
        If you re-install Windows you will still need to re-install all the drivers.

          i cant get to the desktop cuz my OS (windows XP) doesnt work(at all anymore).

          im just going to upgrade, and head over to best buy and grab a windows vista installation. ill reformat my hdd and install vista, and ill update all my drivers when i do that. im just done messing around with HP's stupid recovery partition.
