    My internet cannot display page
    « on: August 03, 2009, 12:07:37 PM »
    Can someone help me?

    I have Microsoft Windows XP.

When I try to access the internet, Internet Explorer comes up with the following message:

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

I have tried going to different webpages, e.g. google, yahoo, msn homepage, but they also failed to load. My computer says that it is connected to the Internet, and I can access the Internet from a different computer, so there isnt a problem with my Internet connection.

Also when i log in to my profile it says Dlg.exe is having a problem

Download Firefox on laptop. Use USB stick, or CD to move FF installation file to the desktop. Install it there.

            On desktop....

            1. Click Start>Run (Start>"Start search" in Vista).

            2. Type in (or copy and paste):

                      cmd /c ping google.com>%temp%\$.$&notepad %temp%\$.$

                  and press Enter.

            3. Notepad will open.

            4. Copy all text in Notepad ([Ctrl-A], then [Ctrl-C]), and then post it (paste = [Ctrl-V]) in your next reply.

Hi, I'm not an expert, but have you tried to repair the connection?
I usually have this problem and I just the repair the connection and it works. If it doesn't, the I just unplug the power from the router and then 10 seconds later, I plug it back in and it works just fine.
Love is like a booger. You keep picking at it until you get it, then wonder what to do with it.

Thank you Broni for the information.  I was having a similar issue minus "Also when i log in to my profile it says Dlg.exe is having a problem".

However, when I installed firefox to the computer (desktop, XP) and it was up and connected to the internet, but received a blue screen about an hour later.

Before installing firefox, the computer was able to get to on line games, just not able to surf the internet.

Any ideas?  I had to restore the computer to the night before last.
