On some laptops...pressing F8 along with the Ctrl key enables and disables the WiFi connection. This is probably why you were getting the "initializing and establishing link" message.
I was under the impression you just discovered that on your keyboard. You really weren't too clear, in your first post, what it was you were trying to do.
Continually pressing F8 on boot will boot you into Safe Mode.
Now you're stating that Acronis is loading its Recovery program.
What is it, exactly, you're trying to do?
Can you please give us a little more information...and describe to us the issue(s) you were having on your laptop before all this started. Keep in mind...we can't help you if we don't understand what the problem is...so we need all the information you can give us.
