Yes there is a cable modem?? that is a uses a UBS port.
There are three lights on the modem. One for power and cable both of those are lit but the light for the computer is not.

See if disconnecting all USB devices has a positive effect.

Is the computer still under warranty?

No computer not under warrenty. Only two things on USB. Keyboard and modem. Even when disconecting all USB no go. I'm now thinking power supply??

Suggestion:

1. Reset CMOS.
-- Search for a CMOS reset jumper or remove the CMOS battery for approximately 10 - 15 seconds.

Removing the battery was the trick. It now boots up and is working. Thanks for all of your help.
