No, but if that paste is dried an that what he is thinking on checking.  ::)

they weren't even aware of what the heatsink was so I doubt they'd know about the thermal paste.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Take caution when you tell people to remove the heatsink and apply thermal paste, I've seen people bend pins on processors not removing the two pieces properly.
