script to install updates from a cd?

the last time i reinstalled xp, i made a list of all the updates and downloaded them from microsoft and burned all the updates i downloaded to a cd-rw and have been updating it as needed so there are alot. i was wanting to know is there a script or something i could use that would install all of the updates for me?something like what patchmate xp does? i was using that but its not free anymore! also the way i am  doing  this now  i know for sure what updates i am getting. thanks
