word 2007 normal.dot office template wont change

hi again, ive been trying to change my office templates, just that everytime i delete the old normal.dot file office makes a new one after loading up word. how can i change it preminently?
and another thing, is there a reason why changing the theme does nothing for me? it saves the same font size/color/type even though i keep changing the theme..

After deleting normal.dot it supposed to be re-created by Office....
Try again and re-boot before changing your theme...
Then change the theme and re-boot again.

if this isnt the way to change the default page settings what is then? T_T
tried rebooting btw, keeps doing the same thing with the themes..
edit: apparentely changing the theme only changes the font type..

adobe reader 9 recieved it installed with windows

What brand is this computer? Was there any software installed on the computer when you first got it?

msi u123, recieved it about a week ago, had couple of msi junk installed on it(easy face logon, a burning tool of some sort etc..), winrar, office 2007 trial version??

umm, i realy dont think that the office's version is in charge of whether the normal.dot file would re-create or not..

You'd never know.......

My only advice to you is uninstall Office 07 trial and/or get an authentic version of Office.

BTW, the default template file for Word 2007 is normal.dotm, not  normal.dot.
