annoyance with firefox

why does firefox give me a "server not found" error all the time? 

40 percent of the time I use Firefox I get that message and have to click on the "try again" button and then it works...

    what version of FF are you using?

    Since when has this started? did you make any changes recently like installed a new version of FF?

    Does IE show the same error?

    Version 3.5.2

    It's been happening ever since I first started using it, as far as I can remember.

    I don't have similar problems with IE

      Try remove FF completely and install again, something might have corrupted....or have you tried already?

      Make sure, you perform clean install: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
