Vista Ultimate 64 will not update.
    « on: August 14, 2009, 11:08:20 PM »
My system is a Intel core2 Quad 2.66Hz 2667Mhz, with 8Gb ram on a EP43-UD3L Gigabyte motherboard, OS is Windows Vista Ultimate ver.6.0.6001 SP1 build 6001.

I have tried to run the stand alone readness tool, downloaded SP2 and tried to install it, I get installation unsuccessful. this is the error code: ERROR_SXS_IDENTITY_PARSE_ERROR (0x8007370d).

The Identity string is malformed. How do I correct this?

I've downloaded and tried to install this stand lone package, it fails as well.
