iis.dll library not a valid windows image?
    « on: August 19, 2009, 07:16:35 AM »
    Hello,
this is the message I get from the sysocmgr.exe program when trying to modify Windows installed components from the Control Panel Install/Uninstall software. I have searched the forum but have not found a definitive answer, other than reinstall OS. I would be very grateful if anyone could provide me with any assistance.
I am running XP SP4, Avast 4.8 Pro as AV.
Thanks in advance for your help

Try sfc /scannow.....you will need your XP disk., if required.

Read the article below to understand the procedure.
