Display Properties (Desktop Tab)

Can anyone tell me how to get the desktop tab in display properties to open. Running Windows XP Professional all the other tabs work but not desktop. Have run XP Repair made no difference still not working

Have you used any Policy setting tools lately? These tools can hide system settings from users. Try logging on as administrator on your PC. If you have the welcome screen, press ctrl+alt+del twice. Then logon as admin. See if it is availble to the admin account.
