    I didnt know that they made cards.  Ignore the peanut gallery for the most part.  To answer your question if it has a pci slot which they do it will work but it depends on what you get speed wise that will be the only major difference.  I dont think they make any that arent pci

      Thank you all.  I will replace the card. Gosh, I hope it's not the pci slot that's bad :(

      That's not very likely.  And, you probably have more than one PCI slot available.

          Success!  The new card works and now my parents have internet service.
          Patio, I did end up buying the Dynex card.  I didn't want to order online and wait.

            I would recommend Intel because they can make good NIC cards.
            Do you have a onboard NIC or a PCI card?
