ASUS Wireless Issues

Hi All,

I have an ASUS WL-138g Wireless PCI card in my PC. The card works perfetly under XP but when installed under Vista and 7 I get a message saying "The capability of your network adapter does not match the requirements of this network."

This error appears on every network that shows in the list so I am sure the problem is not with my router.

I had to install the XP drivers that I found on the ASUS website (I got the card for £5 without a CD and had to buy an external antenna) so I think that I need Vista drivers but I can't find any. I can't use Windows Update or Everest Home because there is no internet connection, It is a desktop PC and I would rather not have to move it to the router.

If anyone has Vista drivers or knows how to stop the The capability of your network adapter does not match the requirements of this network" message; please tell me.

This Page shows one for 64bit XP which would be newer than the XP one you have...
Perhaps it will run under Vista and Win7.

Thanks, but would that work on 32bit Vista and 7?

You won't know til you try...
My 64 bit vid card drivers run fine on the Vista 32bit build...
But not all will.
