keyboard touch pad

i have a dell inspiron 6000 and would like to know if there is a way to turn off the keyboard touch pad (as i use a mouse)  thanks megadream

Control Panel - Mouse - look around for the option to disable the touchpad

    Diffrent ways.. not sure if they will work on your pc, but wirth a shot

    Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Mouse icon to open the Mouse Properties dialog box.
    Click on the Device Settings tab.
    Click the Disable button. Click OK in response to the system message that displays.
