Please Help! Adobe Flashplayer not downloading......

I am having a hard time downloading this .... I get a pop up that says :

Installation is corrupt! (16236.203.235)

What does that mean? I flashplayer installed and then one day I log on and it is gone?! My IT guy at work tried reinstalling java and IE. ??It still is not helping?? He said he has to "do some research" and will try and find a solution, but I figured maybe I could get some help on here.

Mulreay her issues are with Flash...not Adobe Reader.

DLoad and run this tool...then DLoad a fresh copy of Flash...
Where are you DLoading it from ? ?

I was trying to download it from adobe's site....

I tried to uninstall and download...Sadly it did not work   

This is so frustrating ....times like these I wish I were an "IT PRO" lol

When I run the "uninstall" I do not think it fully works. The weird thing is I do not have the flash player in my programs....it seemed to have disappeared overnight? I am confused - and I miss being able to listen to music and see videos ):

    * download the FP uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157 (save to disk)
   
    * close all browser windows, run the downloaded uninstaller, followed by the installer.

(Make sure you close all other programmes when running the uninstaller as files that are in use will not be removed).

I know you have already tried one uninstaller but it's worth a go from Adobe's site.

I closed out everything and saved it to the desktop - but when I run the "uninstall" I do not think it fully works.  I restarted the computer and tried to download the adobe flash and got the same window that says Installation is corrupt! (16236.203.235)
 

this is so frustrating....you all have been so sweet to me and I appreciate all of the effort. I am so lost - I do not know how to fix it.

I have a similar problem. Got a new machine recently with vista home prem. The first time i went to view something and got the message about installing flash I went directly to the adobe troubleshooting. Went to find the file specified to run as admin-no such file, no macromed folder. Downloaded flashplayer 10 from adobe site, following all directions. Installation reported to be successful, but on the final page that pops up to check installation nothing worked. Un-installed with adobe's un-installer, reinstalled, re-booted---NADA. Did this twice already. Very frustrating. And when I go to the flashutil file to run as admin, it tells me that an update is available, I continue, something is downloaded, installation is confirmed to be successful, and still-NADA. When I repeat this action, I get the exact same process repeated "an update is available...'. Round and round we go, but never works.  Any help is appreciated!!!

Run sfc /scannow....

You may have a corrupt system file causing your problem.

Read through the procedure so you know what's happening.
