Computer boots to blue screen with.....
    « on: September 05, 2009, 01:26:43 PM »
I get this blue screen upon boot that displays that a prob. has been detected and windows is shut down. I'm to follow the steps of disabling AV, Disk Defrag and back-up utilities. I am to run CHKDISK/F, but can't get past the blue screen to enter RUN or a Command prompt to do so. I can only resort to restarting the computer.

Had a prob. similar to this a few weeks ago, but CHKDISK fixed the trouble.

Could this be a windows software problem? I do get the machine to boot up to the Windows sreen with the blue loading ticker doing it's thing, but only to the second run. Then I get the blue screen for CHECKDISK.

Or is this a HD problem?

I have dual WD 1600s in a RAID config. off my asus Rampage formula board.

Tech. support for Western Digital said for me to contact DigitalStorm (they built the machine) and see about an exchange or they said it could be software.

    Ideas anyone?

Didn't you just post this (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,91270.msg617285.html#msg617285)? Just answer my question in the other thread.
