    Is it possible to record live television from the internet, without a TV reciever?

    If so please may someone leave the link.

    If not please may someone tell me the cheapest way to record live TV to my computer

      ed0079, Yes it is definitely possible to record live TV from the internet. In many instances you will need to 1st download a specific software (usually defined by the specific TV source you wish to view/record from) that will allow the viewing of their transmission. That will always be free but is absolutely necessary. Next you will need some software associated with an optical recorder that allows you to record streaming video. Once again that is often proprietary to the burning software you use. However there are stand alone software programs (some free some not) that are also available to do the task. When you say record--that is an ambiguous term which can include to your HDD or to a removeable medium (such as a recordable CD or DVD disc) so that would need to be defined 1st. A search on Google will produce a multitude of guidance and specific programs to meet your requirements. truenorth
