    MEMORY UPGRADE?
    « on: September 14, 2009, 02:42:51 PM »
Toshiba A200-M00, Vista Home Premium, up to date. Laptop came with 1Gb RAM. Bought 2 x 2Gb matching SODIMM and installed iaw manual, on booting system failed POST and locked in the Toshiba 'welcome' screen; no access to BIOS. Removed one stick, system booted, BIOS recognises correctly, checked second stick, same result. I expect 3 - 3.5 Gb to be recognised by 32 bit OS but am confounded by the POST failure given that both modules are OK and the system works. Am I missing something or is it a serious problem? I'm still within warranty - just! ???

It should work and function just the way you say.  Send it back for warranty repair or replacement.
