What says "incorrect drive e:"? Please state your question so that even I can understand it.

i'm trying to load wireless printer software from the provided cd,  during the installation a box pops up and says incorrect drive e: and aborts the install.  i noticed this previously when i tried uninstalling something as well.  i've had an external hook up for a while labeled under e: any now its not connected but i've tried connecting it again and loading the software and still says incorrect drive.  theres no prompt for me to pick a drive at the beginning or anything, just auto install. any ideas?

What's an "external hook up"? And try installing the driver in safe mode and see if that works.
