In need of a fan controller
« on: September 17, 2009, 05:41:51 PM »
I'm taking networking in school finally and in the class we build a computer as a project. This will be my first build and i expect it to be expensive. XD. The case lights are green so I'm hoping everything I get matches. I was thinking about throwing a thermal monitor or fan controller with a green backlight. I'm also looking for multi-functionality though, one that can display custom text or media being played. The LCD is a must though so I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything that would work.

This is the case I'm looking at: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1786776&sku=A406-1054

Bonus points if you tell me what you think about logitech's diNovo Mini keyboard. :P

Here is a vendor that sells LCD modules to the industry. These are not consumer items and require a lot of expertise to use.

Not knowing your level of technical training, i would recommend you read this article.

Here is some better information about small LCD modules that you could mount  in the front panel.

I like the one called "2 X 12 LCD WITH LED BACKLIGHT "

I dont recommend that case.  I have one sitting right above me, and you cant put dvd drives in past the second slot because the motherboard is in the way.

The second dvd drive is a really tight fit too.  Though mine is a silver color so they might be a little different... not sure.  And the dvd drives were a little old... The newer ones a little shorter.. You might be fine.
Anyways, buy from newegg
I wouldnt use a psu that came with it either

that is a really cool looking case. the only problem I am faced with is deciding whether I want a cool looking door that opens or a plain case with a LCS display in one of the drive slots... I was going with LCD just because they sound interesting to set up your own stuff on them but i might reconsider because I would like to have a awesome looking case...

That wouldn't have anything to do with the case correct ? ?
