    My computer is possesed
    « on: September 17, 2009, 08:01:02 PM »
    Hey y'all!
My computer is an old one (about 5 years old) so it's AGP. Recently, I decided to buy a new grafic card (ATI Radeon HD 4650) which is made for AGP computers. I also bought a new monitor: LG flatron  w2053 TQ. Of course, I bought all the equipment needed for the card to run correctly ( new power supply, more memory, etc) but when I run any game, they crash after a few sec-min and a message box appears saying that there are ''LGDispDrv'' problems. Then my computer restarts by itself or the screen becomes.. fuzzy. All my drivers are updated. I don't know if the problem is the screen, the videocard or something else.I would really appreciate technical help  ;D
If more information about my computer is needed, tell me and I will gladly dissect it for the cause!

Sounds like the card doesn't support that monitors resolution.

I couldn't say exactly what it is since my windows is in french  ;D : ''There is a problem with the display driver LGdispdrv''

If I understand well, it could be because of the AGP graphic card? I mean, it's an old technology so maybe it can't fit with the monitor that is probably made for PCI graphic cards only. Is that what you are saying? (I'm not that good with informatic ahaha)

If it is, is there any solution to make it work... beside selling everything for a new PCI exp computer  :'(?!

      and thanks for the welcome!

Can you post more specs on the graphics card?

I see that monitor has both DVI-D and VGA inputs.  What are you using?

well... they DO posess their computer and therefore technically it is posessed.
