Problem viewing DVD mvies on computer

Greetings, I have a LG DVD Rom drive in my computer and have Nero 7 installed. The DVD Rom Drive recognizes the DVD but can't Play the movie because this message pops up- need multichannel plug MPEG-2 video Decodeing. What exactly is that? do I need to install some kind of video card or audio wire to my drive? is it very costly? if anyone can give me advice, much appreciated  Thanks! Bear61

Nero needs a codec to play that movie.

Try VLC player. It can play just about anything.
