    Mebroot fun

    Greetings everyone,

I was informed that this is the place to be to get help with this. I have had an issue for the last half of the year with the Mebroot virus. Now ive done EVERYTHING, even formatted...however.

If the Mebroot virus hides itself in the MBR, how can i be sure i got it? I have an HP so it came with a partition, so im not sure if the MBR would be effected there aswell, thus, if i loaded up my computer and hooked into the internet, im not sure if it will attack my IP again and make me lose a month....again

Advice? Suggestions? Ive already ran the F-secure and AVG scans in safe mode after formatting and it said it found nothing in the MBR...

    Download

    Malwarebytes
    and
    SAS

Run full scans and see what comes up you may also want to try

    AVG
If you have no anti-virus software

    If that does not work:

    Download this and scan
    HijackThis
