Rant: NIC error

The Inspiron 530's NIC can kick you off the internet. Don't buy it.
My primary PC's NIC is bad. On a older Dell Dimension PC in which I posted this from, it is still online. The Dell Inspiron PC has Vista Home Premium, so I can't use MS Virtual PC and worse, the CPU does not support Intel VT so I can't use Windows XP mode. I have to use VirtualBox which uses unsafe host drivers. Another PC with virtualBox is still online. I wm stuck with either breaking apart my PC and putting the parts on Amazon.com and get another PC or Installing a Gigabit NIC and then install Windows XP Professional and turn it into a server, then build a PC for Windows 7 with a Good CPU, Motherboard, and Memory Combo, nVidia Geforce Video Card, Intel VT compatible CPU, and a good NIC.
What do I mean? How do I fix it.
