    Computer wont read DVD R

    Hi there Im new to the site so please bare with me if i posted in the wrong forum.

    I just got married and the photographer gave me all my pictures on DVD+R and for some reason my computer will not reconize that i put anything in the drive.

    My computer is a Acer Mutlu Media Desktop
    and the numbers on the front say

    AM1201-E1621A

    the driver it has says this on the outside. Label Flash DVD Multi recorder rds RW Dvd+R DL  Compact Disc rewritable.

    sorry if none of that makes sence i just wrote down everything it says.

    Also a CD-R doesnt work either.

    ANY!! please help i really want my pictures.

    Does the DVD work in another computer ? ?

      i would hope not the computer is less then a year old.

      Stuff happens. Still, your best bet is what patio suggested - see if the disc works in another computer. And if you can get your hands on another dvd+r disc, see if your computer sees that one.
