Pixilated icons
« on: October 02, 2009, 08:54:13 AM »
I'm using XP-SP2 and IE8. Recently, all the icons on the desktop, menu bar, and in apps like Word and IE have stopped displaying correctly. Instead of an image, they are just an outline of dots. If I click on one of them, it sometimes restores to the correct image, but others around it do not. This is also affecting the text on buttons. Any idea what's going wrong?

Thanks,
TOM

    Hello
Have u rebooted the PC lately?, Just for argument shake lets try this first. When this type of behavior comes it is usually a video card problem or memory problem (physical or virtual). Make sure u meet the specs for running IE8. It might just be to run IE8 u might need some more RAM. Go to Task Manger and check the memory usage.
