    autoplay/autorun
    « on: October 04, 2009, 07:56:55 AM »
    Hey, guys.

OK.  Having problems with autoplay on XP.  Basically, it stopped
working then it started working again, then it started working very strangely - for instance if I put an audio cd in the drive, itunes tries to import it, even though itunes is not the designated music program that I use.  And of course, I dont get the menu up that lets you choose what you want to do.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of.  Checked out all the registry fixes, TweakUI and Autoplay fix wizard.  The wizard said that there is a problem but that it couldnt fix it.  I've also tried updating the driver and reinstalling the drive, none of which seems to work.

I would appreciate any thoughts anyone has on this - cheers guys 8)

What third party utilities do you have installed that may effect cd operations (ie, clonecd).

The only one that has ever given me any grief is a free version of jetbee I downloaded.  I've always been able to repair autorun through the registry though in response to whatever jetbee has thrown up.

        Cheers

Well, why not uninstall it and see if the problem remains? You can always reinstall it.

I have already uninstalled it and no luck.
