going to buy a new internal hard drive and oem xp for my dead laptop

This one is not so easy. I would like to properly replace my "INTERNAL" Lightscribe DVD/CD Burner.

That's why I asked:

Which drive do you need? HD or Optical?

What would you be willing to pay know the condition of the laptop. Just curious.

I'd first want to know if it has a bad HD or a bad optical drive, or both?

Long / short

My original intent was to replace the HDD. Thinking I had the XP disks from my original purchase. Then realized I also needed XP (Software in general). Figured no big deal its still reasonable. Then I figured I may as well replace the Burner because I did use it alot. Both are bad the HDD and the Burner.

I guess it got confusing because it changed as I got more responses, this was actually started in a different thread, and as I changed my mind WITH THOSE RESPONSES.

LOL I was actually hoping to get an offer so I can deduct it from my total cost on th ebuying a new one side vs the rebuild.
