    unable to defag C disk. corruption in a file. showing Kaspersky

    1) Boot to the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r. It will take a while to complete - let it do so
    2) Reboot and try to defrag. Does it work now? If not, download and run a trial version of Perfect Disk and see if you can defrag with that
    3) If you still have a problem, uninstall and reinstall the Kaspersky software
