    To fix this issue I just use a program called Unlocker. It does the job for me on a windows system.

    It sounds like you are trying to copy a file?

    Try the safe mode.  Not all files load for the safe mode.

    or change attributes:


    C:\>attrib -R  file

    ( if you want to delete a file and the attribute is wrong use del /F )


    C:\>del /F  file
