    Issue 1 :

        * I have bought the current hard disk  one month back due to failure of the previous one. Both are of Seagate.
        * My PC stuck up suddenly while working with the noise from hard disk ( clicking noise )
        * When I restarts the PC the PC stops booting after the BIOS screen with the error messages like "unable to load OS" or "disk not found".
        * If I remove and replace the hard disk connection, it works normally. But, the PC stuck up after 1 day or after few hours.
        * I have performed the hard disk self tests with Seatools software from Seagate. It has passed all the steps.
        * Why this is happening with a new hard disk?
        * Is the issue is with the hard disk or hard disk controller?

    OS : XP SP3
Mother Board : Intel ICH7 family

I've experienced another BSOD error today. I have scanned with Norton Internet Security, Spybot, and Malwarebytes and deleted one Trojan.

Do clicking sound from the hard disk means hard disk is going to fail?It has passed all the tests of Seatools.
Is there any possibility with virus  or a bad RAM can cause these clicking sounds from hard disk?

Normally the clicking sound is the hard drive thrashing. It is also a good sign that the drive it on its way out.

Have you tried to put it into another machine to see if the clicking follows it? Maybe it is your controller.
