You need to reread the above the posts.

We are not saying they are illegal, we are saying why do it.

Just because a driver has a newer release date doesn't mean that it will perform faster or better.  Drivers should only ever be updated if they are not working right.

Newer is not always better, and yes, updating drivers is exactly like updating the BIOS.  Don't do it unless you need to, and then only with extreme care.

The entire premise that is being missed here is what i alluded to earlier...

Drivers are FREE.

So if someone decides to write a simple little search machine and tout it as the best thing since sliced bread than so be it

Funnier than that is people like that will seperate idiots from their wallet for $19.95 and no one will complain.

LOOK, I'M NOT UPGRADING MY DRIVERS THAT IS AND NEVER WAS THE ISSUE. NOW PLEASE STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT.
