    Mobile HDD help
    « on: October 30, 2009, 06:50:01 AM »
    Good Morning.
I have an old drive enclosure that gives me no information except "please see the owners manual" which of course I do not have. I did find an old comp usa external drive enclosure disk for windows 98SE that may go with it. I attached the drive and it light up but can't see it on my system. I'm thinking I need some drivers or something.
Can I install the old disk on my system (XP #3)? The drive is a seagate Barracuda ATA 30 GB that I thought would be perfect for moving stuff or even just using it for extra space.
    Any Ideas?

    Thanks, Dianne

There's a good chance the external won't need drivers to run on XP...
All you can do is try it.

To help ID the device after you plug it in on the XP machine if it does not work DLoad; install and run Everest Home...FREE.
