    Stable wired dsl modem/router combo
    « on: October 31, 2009, 12:58:23 AM »
I'm looking for a stable modem/router combo as my wireless linksys 2,4mhz speed boost is dropping connectivity. DSL modem is a crappy one from ATT. The old westell I had for 8 years was the best in stability. Any suggestions on good stable combos without breaking the bank. Networking 3 stations cat5 cable hared wired and not wireless ( gamer).

I would get a modem that does all 3 if your cable company allows it.

but concerning the speed issue, is you router turned off when your directly connected to the modem?

try spreading the modem and router apart and see if this helps.

Are you running the latest or best firmware for that "wireless linksys" component? Check the Linksys site for downloads and the forums to see what users are saying about that model (and hardware version number).
