    Trouble with Win ME

    i just reloaded a 40GB hd with Win ME as my secondary puter..everything came up fine, did scandisk and defrag, since i hadn't touched the puter in over a year..afterwards windows appeared to start then i got this, "COMCTL32.DLL will not open, u shud check file"...i have tried everything with no luck...any ideas...

      Microsoft doesn't generally use "slang" to report errors.  Does it really say "COMCTL32.DLL will not open, u shud check file"?

        give us the actual error message and you might receive actual suggestions...
        I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

          apparently not..a complete reload got rid of it for right now...dont know how long it will last this time...maybe the drive got too hot???? M A Y B E.......... ;D
