? How to disable Windows File Protection ?
    « on: November 10, 2009, 01:15:00 PM »
I can't seem to get rid of " Windows File Protection " at start up. :(

    Running Xp, Sp3, normal boot.

Followed instructions here on this site.

    Link: http://www.technipages.com/enabledisable-windows-file-protection.html

    I tried...

1 – disabled, prompt at boot to re-enable

2 – disabled at next boot only, no prompt to re-enable

    ffffff9d – for completely disabled

changed 1,2, ffffff9d and rebooted...and still appears at start up?..what's going on

the most common reason to disable WFC is to replace a system file with a "patched" equivalent to override activation..

So forgive us if we're inquisitive... :-\

      thanks Quantos.

what I want is to get rid of the Pop up..Windows File Protection at start up. Just load normally.

been like this since I did a command to cmd> sfc/ scannow
and from that point, Windows File Protection began starting up ever since :-\

SFCDisable? Is there a site where I can download this patch? All I want is to stop, and boot normally.

                    :)

                    :D

Finallly after 3-4 months of Windows File Protection annoying pop-ups and SFCDisable changing key, 12,3,4,...... I got rid of it :)

                    cmd> sfc /revert

:) simple, topic closed ty :)
