    creating COMPUTER IMAGE

    Hi,  I am trying to create IMAGE with ACRONIS progr/ After Image was done and saved in D' drive I put DVD in the laptop and try to BURN IT.

      Unfortunatly, NERO and DeepBurner said "IT ISN'T THEIR FILES" and it kick dvd out/

      I have to use DVD cause IMAGE size iz 4GB/PLEASE HELP me to burn my IMAGE? ::)

      i have XP pro, Hp laptop/ DVD size is only 4.7 and when i try to burn my IMAGE DEEPBurner prog kicked dvd out and said NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON DVD, so i can't do anything

        I did remove all my personal stuff from C-drive on D-drive only, but still in C-drive I can see DOC.and setting folder is big 7.80GB and don't know why when i transfer all my personal stuff to D-drive?

        Do you understand now problem? My dvd burner doesn't let me to burn cause it said NOT ENOUGH ROOM ON DVD??

          I did remove most of my favor programs from C-drive so i don't know why is DOC.and SETTINGS folder on C-drive so big 7.80GB>??Can you help me how to make sure that  all my personal stuff is REMOVED FROM C-DRIVE please?

        Acronis True Image has multiple compression options. Go into the options screen before burning.

          Ty for your help, I am so confused because why is my Doc and setting folder in C-drive so big, cause I did transfer all mu personal stuff on D-drive/

            Ok, I will look in ACRONIS for compression again,/ I don't mind to use 2 dvd for burnign IMAGE,but dvd burner is KICKING my DVD out saying NOT ENOUGH SPACe,so How can I do this?? Well I will try all this again, ty so much for your help

           PS Which cd burner is best and is ACRONIS good for IMAGE please?

          So, your Documents folder is part of this image file? How large is your Documents folder?  If removing your Documents folder from the files being backed up to the disk image would alleviate this problem, why not just create a separate backup for your Documents folder?

          You can disable system restore before doing the backup. That will get rid of your restore points which are undoubtedly taking a lot of space.

          DVD size is 4.2G last time i checked....
          That's why it got kicked.

          However if Acronis is used properly it has a built in spanning tool for more than 1 blank media...
