Problem with sound and speakers on computer
    « on: November 15, 2009, 09:37:06 AM »
I've tried three different sets of speakers and everytime, my left speaker will not work. Also, I've plugged my headphones into the speakers and the left headphone doesn't work either.

I've checked all the volume controls and everything with that appears to be fine. Also, when I click the volume control on my desktop and check the volume, it beeps from my tower. And, I just unplugged the speakers a little from my computer and the left one started working, but not the right. When I plugged them fully in again, the left one stopped working once again.

I'd really like to find out how to fix this.

Are you using onboard sound or an add-on sound card?  Seems like you may have a faulty speaker cable port/jack.  If that's the problem, a new sound card is the solution.
